This is a good time for homeowners looking to upgrade, repair, or replace an AC unit in Southern Nevada because of the great rebate incentives available right now.
The reason for these rebates is part of a huge initiative for the state of Nevada to reduce its energy consumption. You have the opportunity as a customer to benefit from this program and get the central AC system of your dreams for less money thanks to these rebates!
Let’s go over the various rebate offers available for single-family homes in Southern Nevada and the criteria needed to get one.
The following rebates are available for the following repairs, upgrades and/or replacements of air conditioning systems:
- Refrigerant charge repair
- Indoor coil cleaning
- Outdoor coil cleaning
- Installation and/or reset of a heat pump strip heat lock out
- Installation of a Western Cooling Control
- Installation of a BPM fan with a Western Cooling Control and with an auto fan
- BPM fan motor with constant fan
There are also rebates available for those replacing their heat pumps, existing HVAC units, and existing duct systems. For a single-family home, the quotes for HVAC related rebates start as low as $25.00 to as high as $1,000.00
However, in order to benefit from this rebate program, you must make sure that you fit the criteria. All of these rebates apply to someone who is either replacing, upgrading or repairing an existing HVAC system, heating pump, or duct system.
If you are installing a new HVAC system where a previous HVAC system didn’t exist, you cannot apply.
Certain rebates available are either for repairs, upgrades, replacements or inspections only. Therefore, carefully check the wording for the rebates available compared to the AC Service you need to be done to your HVAC system to make sure you get the right rebate and benefit properly from the program.
Other qualifications for AC-related rebates include the replacement of an inefficient AC or heat pump unit with a higher efficiency unit, tune-up existing HVAC or heat pump units, install a specialized cooling control system adapted to Nevada’s climate conditions, the installation of a high-efficiency fan motor, and to seal and test the duct system.
To apply for rebates, you don’t need to fill out any paperwork; instead, you qualify for HVAC rebates based on the components you are upgrading, installing, replacing, or repairing, and that these components are for an HVAC going into an existing HVAC system.
